McKnight’s beautiful still life painting captures a vignette of books, a reclaimed vase and a few sprigs of gum tree, taken from her own Sydney garden. Inspired by vintage artwork, she has toned down her usual colour palette in this piece, letting the nostalgia and love of literature shine through and take centre stage.
